Gervais co-wrote them with Andy Burrows of Razorlight and We Are Scientists.The new film takes place 12 years after The Office and follows his characters band, Foregone Conclusion, on a UK tour.
Gervais latest release is Special Correspondents, a Netflix-exclusive movie. Gervais told Rolling Stonethat he made both films on his own terms. People think its arrogant when I say, If you get final edit and it turned out exactly as you want, youre bulletproof,' he said. Some people take that as meaning, Oh, arrogant. He doesnt take criticism. No. It means that I enjoy the creative process. Ive always enjoyed doing it my way, because not getting your way is worse than anything. Luckily Ive always sort of gotten my own way.
David Brent: Life on the Road will be released on August 19th in the UK.
